Michael DeLorenzo
Associate Vice Chancellor/Director of Auxiliary Services
Michael is currently finishing his Ph.D. (public administration) at the University of Illinois. He received his M.A. in education- sports management from Ohio State University (1984) and his bachelors in history from Colorado State University (1982).
Michael came here from UIC, where he was acting Associate and Assistant Vice Chancellor/Executive Director for Auxiliary units since 2001. He served as Director of the Pavilion, UIC, from 1997 to 2001 and worked his way to Associate Director at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center at the University of Gainsville, Florida from 1987 to 1997.
Michael is responsible for the coordination, direction and budget oversight of the personnel, operations and facilities of the auxiliary departments in Student Affairs, including Assembly Hall, Division of Campus Recreation, Illini Union and Bookstore, McKinley Health Center and University Housing and Dining Services.
