Services for YOU

Student Lottery at the Assembly Hall
Are you interested in getting the best seats possible for concerts and shows at the Assembly Hall?  Then keep up to date on student ticket lotteries.  Just by entering into the student lottery, you are guaranteed a chance to buy tickets before the general public.

Illini Union Ride Board
Hitting the road? Let the Illini Union help you find a travel companion. The virtual ride board’s database can match up drivers with riders for long drives home or even carpooling on a day-to-day basis. Provide your personal information and where you need to go, then let the virtual ride board do the rest. It will let you browse through others heading in the same direction and provide their contact information. Use the Illini Union Virtual Ride Board and don’t get caught hoofin’ it.

Career Center Workshops
Are graduation and your future approaching more quickly than you’re prepared for? Let the Career Center help. The Career Center offers a number of workshops that can assist you in preparing for your inevitable future. Workshops range in topics from job search strategies and resume writing to career fair preparation and applying to graduate school. Workshops are held almost every week. To sign up or get more information, click here.

Career Center Resume Services
Is your resume lacking a little luster? The Career Center can help you add that touch of brilliance. The Career Center offers a daily Resume Review walk-in service. It’s an excellent chance for professional feedback on your resume. Best of all, it’s free. But the services don’t stop there. The Career Center also offers a resume referral service. Students can submit their resume for direct referral to employers – employers especially seeking U of I grads. You can even pick what areas of occupation to have your resume listed. Employers contact the Career Center about students in certain fields, and if your area matches, they send off your resume for you. Now, that’s anything but lackluster.
