The Division of Student Affairs is proud to welcome Dr. C. Renée Romano as the new Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. She joins the Illinois family after the retirement of Patricia Askew in August 2005 and the service of Dean William Riley on an interim basis for the past year.


The Career Center has added a new workshop to its repertoire of services and resources. This new program,
"I Have a Major. Now What?" offers students the opportunity to explore careers that relate to their newly determined fields of study and starting points on where to begin.

The Illinois Leadership Center has officially added a new i-program entitled Integrity. This new program focuses on ethical leadership and what it means to exemplify this characteristic of integrity. The official pilot date for this program is set for October 13.

News from the Campus
The UI Alumni Association, in collaboration with the Career Center, continues to provide students and alumni the opportunity to collaborate in the workplace through the Illini Externship Program. To learn more about this program as well as how to get involved as a sponsor, click here.

The latest online sensation sweeping the nation has hit UIUC as well as college campuses and high schools around the world. Learn more about the Facebook phenomenon happening right on our very campus or read a student's perspective.

The Office of Public Affairs has recently launched its newest innovation, UI Now, which features the most current news from all areas within the University of Illinois community. RSS Feeds provide top headlines on campus research and breaking news from campus and each college.

The College of Business has put a hole in the ground...literally...to make room for its upcoming Business Instructional Facility. Click here to learn more about the emergence of this project as well as a live web cam view of its progress.
