Student Affairs
Development is responsible for leadership and scholarship programs
that span the entire campus as well as the fundraising efforts of
the fourteen Student Affairs departments. We invite you to contact

Bruns |
Assistant
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Development
David Bruns '99, joined the Student Affairs Development
Staff in August 2004, after a successful career as Assistant
Director of Development in the College of Liberal Arts
and Sciences. His management of the annual fund at Plymouth
State University and his experience as a Program Specialist
with the Missouri Arts Council will be tremendous assets.
As an alum and former Marching Illini member, he embraces
the major goals outlined for Student Affairs and aspires
to increase our level of corporate foundation and indvidual
support for these initiatives. |

Cooley
|
Assistant
Director of Development
Karen is a 1993 graduate of the College of Applied Life
Studies where she majored in program/event planning. She
is a lifetime resident of Champaign Co. and has worked
for Student Affairs for twenty-four years. The last nine
years have been with the office of Student Affairs Development.
Karen's responsibilities include stewardship, event planning
and coordination of the James Newton Matthew Scholars
Scholarship program. |

Foley |
Assistant
Director of Development
Originally from the Chicago area, Donna is a 1983 graduate
of the College of Commerce and Business Administration.
She joined the University's Office of Publication after
working in the private sector in the areas of marketing
and customer service. Her responsibilities in Student
Affairs Development are for the production of print
and web materials and the annual telemarketing and mail
campaigns. |

Blackwelder |

Secretary
Cheryel is a 1996 Summa cum laude graduate of Eastern
Illinois University. She joined the University in 1972
and has worked in various offices for Student Affairs.
Her experience in Student Affairs has spanned three
decades including work in the Office of the Dean of
Students, Minority Student Affairs, Student Financial
Aid, Women's Programs, Ombuds Office, and Illini Union
Program Department. Her responsibilities in Student
Affairs Development include support services for the
director and office manager.
