Illini Union Late Nighter is the place to be for your first night on campus! Bring your roommate and enjoy comedians, a hypnotist, a rock wall, live music, make your own music video, student organization performances, bowling and billiards -- all for free! It's your chance to explore the Illini Union and see why it is the center of campus activity.

Get involved in the CU community right away!  Help out with a one-day service project with other first-year students working with issues concerning the environment, health needs, youth and education, neighborhood involvement, or hunger and homelessness.

Sunday, August 19th
6:00 – 10:00 PM, Campus Recreation Center East

Located at CRCE and on Dorner Drive, the Campus Rec Block Party will have free Domino's pizza (while it lasts), free drinks, music and a good time. Play carnival games, a basketball shootout challenge, some tennis, old school board games, play some Wii, enjoy popsicles after shooting a puck, and even make your own s'mores. These are just some of the activities planned at this annual event that draws thousands of students during Welcome Week. You can even walk away with great prizes such as iPods, laptops, free pizza for a year, and lots more.

Campus Recreation iSkate

Grab a group from your dorm floor and come enjoy an evening of free ice skating, free food, and lots of laughs as you help each other learn to skate!

Outdoor Concert and Comedy in the Courtyard

Relax on the lawn of the quad in front of the Illini Union while enjoying live music featuring Matt Wertz.  Or head indoors to the Courtyard Café to get just a taste of the laughs that your own student comedy clubs have in store for you for the next four years.
