Convocation

Monday August 20

11:30am, Assembly Hall

• You will be welcomed to the U of I by our chancellor, Dr. Richard Herman, be inspired by our outstanding faculty speaker, Dr. Dorothy Espelage, and learn the words to the "Alma Mater."

• Your Resident Advisor will guide you to Convocation at Assembly Hall, so you will sit with those on your residence hall floor. (If you do not live in University or Private Certified Housing, please meet us at the gates before 11:30am.)

• Come and get your orange University of Illinois t-shirt and wear it to Illini sporting events to show your school spirit! You will receive a t-shirt as you walk into Assembly Hall so be sure to know your size since there won't be time to try one on.

• You will also get a chance to see a U of I trivia presentation, a video introduction with helpful hints from students and watch some of the best professors on campus welcome you in a faculty procession!

• Your RA will help guide you from Convocation at Assembly Hall to Illinois Sights and Sounds at Memorial Stadium.
