Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs |
| Student Affairs at Illinois serves a campus
of more than 39,000 students. The division is comprised of 1,200
full-time employees and almost 1900 student employees in twelve departments.
Can you name all twelve? (Hint: Assessment and Development are Student
Affairs departments) |

The Vice Chancellor's Office represents virtually
all students on campus in one way or another. They are involved
in every aspect of student life, even before they actually start
classes, with Orientation, Fresh Start and Illini First Night.
Their involvement becomes even more broad as classes begin; from
counseling, housing and medical services, to recreation and entertainment
activities. They provide leadership training and work closely
with student government, as well as providing resources and opportunities
for most clubs and student associations on campus.
Student Affairs works round
the clock to provide emergency services, coordinate with campus
safety officials and mediate with administration...and even roommate problems. The committees appointed by the Vice Chancellor's office fall into
almost all of the categories listed on this site. |
| “I would encourage every
student to strive get involved on campus as much as possible. There
is some much more to the college learning experience then what
is taught in the classroom or read in the text book. Anytime,
you can get hands on real world experience, jump at the chance. Fortunately,
the University of Illinois has thousands of opportunities for everyone
and serving on a campus committee is one of the best.”-Greg Roth |
