Student Affairs Professional Development Committee |
| The charge of the Professional Development Committee is to foster the mission of Student Affairs by encouraging and enabling the professional growth and development of Student Affairs staff. Utilizing systematic needs assessment, the Committee plans and conducts developmental training and activities, including the annual New Staff Orientation. The Committee is further charged with advising and making recommendations to the Vice Chancellor and Associate Vice Chancellors on improving developmental training and activities. |
12 representatives from Student Affairs Departments Note: Members are generally appointed to this committee by their unit based upon job responsibility; please check with your department head before selecting this committee as one of your choices for the annual appointment process. |
Scheduled Committee meetings are once per month for up to 90 minutes. An additional time commitment is needed in preparation for the various staff development programs -- probably not more than 15 hours per year. |
