Equal Employment Opportunity Committee

The responsibilities of the Committee include: monitoring the search and selection procedures of the Student Affairs units to ensure equal opportunity; reviewing all goals and timetables; assisting units in the development of affirmative action recruitment plans; reviewing the Affirmative Action Summary Form for Proposed Academic Appointees; and other duties that may be assigned to aid affirmative action objectives.

Note: Members are generally appointed to this committee by their unit, based upon job responsibility; please check with your department head before selecting this committee as one of your choices for the annual appointment process.


The EEO Committee meetings are scheduled as departments request a review of search and selection procedures in their units. Generally speaking, the time commitment averages 2 meetings per month for 1/2 hour each.
